The Manor House

Overlooking the old courtyard from its prominent position, the Manor House once formed part of the original Villa LuxL estate. Its exact history has been lost with time, but the character of the house remains unmistakable. Today, it offers an intimate and private retreat in the heart of traditional Mesaria.

Inside the Manor House

The heart of the Manor House is its long, vaulted living space, where the kitchen, dining area and sitting room come together beneath the traditional curved ceiling. Dark timber furnishings and the elevated wooden attic give the interior a character quite unlike the estate's other homes.

The house accommodates up to four guests in two bedrooms, including a particularly atmospheric bedroom with its original fireplace. Above the main living area, the small attic recalls the layered, unconventional spaces typical of older island homes.

Outside, the house opens onto its own private courtyard — a secluded setting for breakfast beneath the Santorini sun or quiet evenings after a day exploring the island. With its independent entrance from one of Mesaria's traditional village alleys, the Manor House feels entirely private while remaining part of the historic Villa LuxL story.

The Estate's Story

Built in 1870, the Manor House once belonged to the same historic complex that today forms Villa LuxL. From its windows, the house still looks across what was once the estate's shared courtyard, revealing a connection that later walls and separate entrances have gradually obscured.

Exactly what role the house played has been lost to time. Yet its prominent position overlooking the courtyard, its fireplace, attic and distinctly residential character suggest that this was an important home within the estate — perhaps its principal residence. Rather than recreate a history we cannot know for certain, we have chosen to preserve that small mystery as part of its story.

Today, the Manor House has its own entrance and private courtyard, separate from the estate's shared spaces. It offers a different way to experience Villa LuxL: independently and privately, while staying within a home that has been part of the estate for generations.
